South Cambie is a family oriented neighbourhood that is anchored by Langara College and Sir Winston Churchill. It is also conveniently located with Oakridge mall just north, and Marpole and River District to the South as well as the cambie corridor running through its heart. This area has seen a lot of recent change due to the Cambie corridor rezoning for multi-residential.
Housing in South Cambie is a mix of single family 1940s and later homes. There are newer townhomes and condominiums anchored along cambie. The Langara Golf course serves as a central point for some of the new townhouse and condo developments. Langara Estates is a very well considered community of townhomes that characterize the harmony of city with greenspaces and peaceful garden living.
South Cambie has both Oak Street and Cambie street running through it and the growth along these two major city arteries shows how popular this area is. It is very easy to access downtown, Richmond, Oakridge mall and River District. It is also very popular for locals who attend Langara College or UBC.
